Teen charged over horror stabbing outside Qld house party
An 18-year-old man has been charged with wounding following a stabbing outside a house party on the Sunshine Coast.
The violent incident happened on Affinity Place in Birtinya around 3.30am on Saturday morning.
It’s understood two teenagers attempted to attend a party at the home, however were asked to leave before becoming involved in an altercation.
“Police will allege another person, being the 18-year-old, approached from another house on the same street and a second altercation followed, which resulted in a 22-year-old man being stabbed,” Qld police said.
The victim was rushed to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital with a wound to his stomach.
The 18-year-old man from Mooloolaba has since been charged with one count of wounding and is due to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court today.
