A 17-year-old boy has been charged with possessing child exploitation material following the search of a home in northern NSW.
Tamworth Detectives executed a search warrant at the Quirindi house about 4pm on Monday, after receiving information that child exploitation material had been uploaded from a social media platform.
During the raid, officers seized mobile phones, external storage devices and tablets, as well as a BB gun and a sling shot.

After analysing the equipment, police arrested a 17-year-old boy at the home just before 2.30pm yesterday.
He was taken to Tamworth Police Station and charged with possess child abuse material, possess unauthorised pistol, posses unregistered firearm-pistol, not keep firearm safely-pistol and possess prohibited weapon without permit (sling shot).
He has been refused bail to appear at a children’s court today.
