Teen critical after plunging from apartment building

A TEENAGE boy is fighting for his life in hospital after falling from an apartment building in Perth.

The 16-year-old was reportedly trying to scale the Mounts Bay Road building when he fell from the fourth storey around 1.30am on Saturday.

Police say the boy and another teen tried climbing up to their mate’s apartment but realised they were on the wrong side of the building and started to climb back down. This is when the 16-year-old fell.

The teen’s friend made it back to the ground safely and alerted police who were conducting random breath tests across the road at the time.

Seriously injured, the 16-year-old was treated by paramedics at the scene before being rushed to the Royal Perth Hospital where he remains this afternoon in a critical condition.
