Young man dies after being ejected from car in horror high-speed crash

A YOUNG man has died after being ejected from his car in a horrifying high-speed crash in Melbourne’s west.

The accident happened along Coburns Road, near Minns Road, in Kurunjang just after 11pm on Saturday.

Police said a Ford sedan was travelling at a “fast rate of speed” when it spun out of control and left the road.

The driver, a 21-year-old man from Brookfield, was ejected from the car and sustained life-threatening injuries.

He was rushed to hospital but died shortly after arriving. Two passengers, a 16-year-old girl from Melton South and a 20-year-old Kurunjang man, escaped with only minor injuries.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the vehicle travelling along Coburns Road before the accident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
