Teen driver, 15, airlifted to Gold Coast hospital in serious condition after crash

A 15-year-old driver and his 12-year-old passenger have both been airlifted to hospital in a serious condition following a horror crash near Coffs Harbour.

The accident happened just after 12.30pm on Sunday at Nana Glen.

“Emergency services were called to Brewers Road following reports a car had crashed into a tree,” NSW Police said in a statement.

The driver, a 15-year-old boy, and the passenger, a 12-year-old boy, suffered serious head injuries.

The older boy was airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital while the younger boy was taken to John Hunter Hospital, both in serious conditions.

Crash Investigation Unit officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
