Teen driver critically injured in NSW crash

A teenage driver has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition after losing control of his car and crashing into a pole in Sydney’s west.

The crash happened along Londonderry Road at Londonderry just after 1.30pm on Saturday.

Police said a Nissan sedan left the road and hit a pole, leaving the 19-year-old male driver with life-threatening injuries.


He was rushed by ambulance to Westmead Hospital where police say he is in a critical condition.

His male passenger, also aged 19, was also taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment.

Police say his condition is not known.

A crime scene has been established and is being examined by forensic police and crash investigators.
