Teen girl charged with almost killing man in domestic-related stabbing

A TEENAGE girl is due in court today, charged with almost stabbing a man to death at a house in Sydney’s west.

The 19-year-old allegedly drove a knife through the 37-year-old man’s chest during a domestic disturbance at a house in South Penrith on Saturday.

Police were called to the Banderra Road just before 3pm where they found the man with a serious stab wound.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.

The man remains in hospital this afternoon, fighting for his life.

The 19-year-old was arrested at the home and taken to Penrith Police Station where she was formally charged with a list of serious offences overnight.

Police confirmed the incident was domestic related.

The relationship between the pair, however, is not known.

The 19-year-old was refused bail to appear in Parramatta Local Court today.
