A teenage girl has suffered critical injuries after she was struck in the head by a boat propeller in a horror accident on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
The 15-year-old was on a moving boat with a group of friends at Narrabeen Lake at 1.20pm on Friday when she fell off and was struck by the propeller.
The girl was rescued from the water by friends and bystanders before being taken to land, where she was treated by paramedics.

She was then airlifted in a critical condition to the Sydney Children’s Hospital, where she remains.
Officers from Northern Beaches Police Area Command and the Marine Area Command are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The four-metre runabout has been seized for forensic examination.
