Teen girl hospitalised after falling down Gold Coast embankment

A teenage girl has been injured after falling down an embankment and landing on rocks on the Gold Coast overnight.

Emergency crews, including critical care paramedics, police, and firies, rushed to the scene on Radford Street in Southport just after 8.00pm.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson told myGC it appears the young woman slipped and plunged approximately two-meters down an embankment near a bridge, before landing on rocks below.


Fire crews assisted in helping the teen up from the rocks.

She was then treated at the scene by paramedics for head and back injuries before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital.

The spokesperson confirmed she was transported in a stable condition.

I live nearby this bridge and wonder why a teen was going under this bridge at 8pm in the first place? teens go under this bridge for drugs. our security camera caught this so no sympathy from me
