Teen girl left in wheelchair, brain damaged after taking ecstasy pill at party
The family of a teenager who was left in a coma after taking ecstasy have shared a heartbreaking video online which shows what ‘one tiny pill can do to you’.
Amy Thomson, 16, collapsed at a house party in Glasgow in June after taking what was believed to be an ecstasy pill.
The teen spent weeks in a critical condition, fighting for her life in hospital.
Her family have now released a short clip on a support page for the teenager, in an effort to discourage others from taking illegal drugs.
In the clip, wheelchair-bound Amy thanks people for their support and lifts her hand up to wave.
Toxicology reports into the pill have not been released due to a pending criminal case.
A 33-year-old man and two teenage women were arrested for alleged drug offences.
