Teen hospitalised after being dumped in rough surf on the Gold Coast

A TEENAGER has been taken to hospital after being tossed around in rough surf on the Gold Coast.

The 18-year-old was reportedly dumped by a wave at Main Beach just before 11am.

She was assisted by lifeguards and assessed by paramedics at the scene after complaining of neck pain.

Queensland Ambulance said the young woman was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
