A TEENAGE boy has been rushed to hospital after almost drowning in rough surf on the Gold Coast.
The dramatic scenes unfolded near Len Wort Park in Currumbin just after 10.30am on Sunday.
Lifeguards had to pull the boy out of the surf. It’s believed he was conscious and breathing.

He was assessed by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital.
An ambulance spokesperson said the teen was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
