A TEEN cyclist has been hit by a car on the Gold Coast this morning.
Emergency services rushed to the intersection of Hooker Boulevard and the Gold Coast highway in Broadbeach just before 8.45am following reports a cyclist had been struck.
A 16-year-old boy is believed to have suffered head injuries and has been taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area.
In a separate accident a man was hit by a car on Lensgate Road in Coombabah at 7:50am.
A man in his 20’s was taken to the Uni Hospital in a stable condition suffering from back pain.
