Teen killed, another left with fractured skull, arm and legs after horror crash

A 17-YEAR-OLD boy has been killed and another has been seriously injured after a four-wheel-drive collided head-on with their motorbikes in the NSW Hunter Valley.

Police said the two teens were riding their bikes south along Commission Road at Jerry Plains on Sunday afternoon when the horrific accident occurred.

It’s understood a Nissan Patrol travelling along the same road in the opposite direction collided head-on with the two bikes as they rounded a bend around 2.30pm.

One of the riders was ejected from his bike and sadly died at the scene.

The second rider suffered multiple fractures to his skull, arm, and lower legs, as well as internal injuries.

He was flown to John Hunter Hospital where he remains this afternoon in a serious condition.

The 59-year-old driver of the Nissan was taken uninjured to Singleton Hospital for mandatory tests.

Investigations into the collision are continuing, however, police say they do not expect to lay any charges.

Why the hell wouldnt they be laying charges , if the 4×4 hit the motorcycle riders would he be in the wrong If he left his lane?

It’s impossible to know without more facts about the exact placement of all the vehicles at the time ?

It doesn’t say anything about the 4wd leaving the lane, the bike could have been going to fast for the bend and also crossed over ?????

Because the bikes crossed into the 4wd lane not the other way around.
