Teen killed in NSW crash

A TEENAGER has been killed following a horror crash between a truck and a motorcycle in Sydney’s west.

The accident happened at the intersection of Redfern and Frank Streets in Wetherill Park on Thursday afternoon.

Police said the truck and motorcycle collided just after 1pm.


The motorcyclist, a male in his late teens, suffered life-threatening injuries.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene but sadly died before he could be transported to hospital.

The truck driver, a man in his 50s, was taken to Fairfield Hospital for mandatory drug and alcohol testing.

Motorists are being urged to steer clear of the area, with traffic being diverted around the scene.

Officers from Fairfield Local Area Command are investigating the incident.
