Teen learner clocked riding down highway at 220km/h

A TEENAGER on his L’s has allegedly been caught on a motorbike, travelling at more than 200km/h along the Pacific Highway on the NSW Mid North Coast.

Officers clocked the Kawasaki motorcycle travelling at 220km/h in a 110 zone along the highway at Raleigh about 9.30pm on Saturday.

Police said the 18-year-old rider was on his learner licence which restricts him to a maximum speed of just 90km/h.

The Valla Beach teen had his licence suspended and was served a Field Court Attendance Notice for riding at dangerous speeds, and excess speed limit over 45km/h.

He is due to appear at Coffs Harbour Local Court in February.
