Teen motorcyclist killed in collision with two-tonne truck

A teenage motorcyclist has died following a collision involving his bike and a two-tonne truck at Sylvania this morning.

Police say that the man, believed to be aged in his late teens, sustained multiple serious injuries after colliding with the truck on Port Hacking Road, about 5.40am.

He was treated at the scene before being rushed to St George Hospital where he died.


The driver of the truck, believed to be in his 50s, has been taken to Sutherland Hospital for mandatory tests.

An investigation is underway into the crash with motorists urged to avoid the area.
