Teen questioned after $250,000 worth of marijuana found at NSW home

A TEENAGER has been questioned by police after a quarter of a million dollars worth of marijuana was found growing at a home on the NSW Mid North Coast.

Police said officers went to the Champions Lane home at Macksville to “make inquiries” when they made the discovery around 11am on Thursday.

An initial inspection of the property uncovered a large number of cannabis plants.

In total, 71 plants and 30 kilograms of loose cannabis leaf was seized from the house.

Police said the drugs had an estimated potential street value of $250,000.

An 18-year-old man was spoken to by police outside the home but released without charge.

Investigations are continuing and police say charges are expected to be laid.

They are urging anyone with information about the house to come forward.
