EARLIER: ANOTHER shocking attack on a Gold Coast bus — this time a brazen sexual assault on a young female passenger.
It’s alleged the 18-year-old girl was pinned against a window, and abused and assaulted for several minutes by a middle-aged man on the Surfside bus last Friday afternoon.
CCTV footage shows a man in a red flannelette shirt sit next to and intimidate the teen before he attempts to touch her.
Despite there being other passengers on the bus at the time, no one, including the driver, came to her aid.
Following the attack, the young girl was forced to run from her assailant when he got off at the same stop in Southport.
The teen’s outraged mother said violence on Gold Coast buses was now ‘out of control’ and something needed to be done.
That matter is now the subject of a police investigation.
