Teen stabbed after group tried to gatecrash party

A teenage boy has undergone surgery after being stabbed while leaving a party in Miami.

The 17-year-old was among a number of people at the party on Dawn Parade last night.

Police say a group of youths tried to gatecrash the party at around 11.40pm but were refused entry.

As the party wrapped up the boy was approached by a group of males and was kicked, punched and stabbed with an unknown weapon.

He was driven to Robina Hospital with a stab wound to his stomach.

It’s understood he was later transferred to the Gold Coast University Hospital.

Police are now appealing for anyone who was in the area around the time of the stabbing, or any motorists who may have dash cam footage to contact them.
