A teenage boy has spent the night behind bars after being slapped with a long list of driving offences.
New South Wales police say the 17-year-old led them on a chase through the Shoalhaven region on Friday afternoon.
“About 2.40pm police attempted to stop a motorcycle on Nineveh Close, Nowra, after it was earlier spotted being ridden in a dangerous manner,” Police said in a statement.

“The motorcycle failed to stop and a pursuit was initiated which continued for about a minute before the driver entered a ravine where he fell off the motorcycle.”
The boy made a run for it but was eventually captured and the bike was found to be stolen.
He was taken to Nowra Police Station before being transferred to Shoalhaven Hospital for assessment and for blood and urine tests.
Once he was released from hospital he was charged with police pursuit; drive manner dangerous; goods in custody; dive unlicensed; and drive conveyance without consent of owner.
He was refused bail to appear at a children’s court today.
