Following a six-week long investigation, detectives from the Homicide and Child Trauma Task Force yesterday arrested the toddler’s stepfather, Andrew O’Sullivan, in Brisbane.
The 35-year-old man appeared briefly in the Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning, charged with one count of manslaughter.
He was remanded in custody, with no application for bail submitted.
It’s understood his case will return to court on 8 August.
Detectives also arrested a 27-year-old Caboolture South woman in Toowoomba and a 17-year-old boy from Morayfield.
They too were each charged with one count of manslaughter and are also due to face court today.
