Teenage girl trapped after car crashes into Gold Coast fence

A TEENAGE GIRL is recovering in the Gold Coast University Hospital, after being freed from a car that crashed into a fence in Broadbeach Waters.

The 16-year-old was a passenger in the vehicle which lost control on Monaco Street, around 10.05pm on Friday.

Paramedics, including Critical Care and High Acuity Response, were called to the scene and found the girl trapped in the vehicle with injuries to her pelvis and arm.


Emergency crews managed to free her and she was rushed to hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The 17-year-old male driver was also taken to hospital with neck pain.

While a 15-year-old female passenger was treated at the scene.

Police confirmed the crash caused damage to an electric gate.

No charges have yet been laid.
