Teenager, man pulled from Surfers Paradise beach after near-drowning
There’s been another drowning incident on the Gold Coast overnight, with two people needing to be hospitalised.
Emergency services were called to Surfers Paradise beach just before 6.00pm, following reports of a post-immersion incident.
Two male patients had been pulled from the surf just near View Avenue and The Esplanade.
One of them is a teenager, while the other is a man in his 60s.
Both were briefly assessed at the scene, before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital for further treatment.
They’re both understood to be in stable conditions.
What please tell me is a “post immersion incident”.
