Teenager shot in the head in Sydney’s west

A TEENAGER has been charged with reckless wounding after he allegedly shot another teen in the head in Sydney’s west overnight.

Police and paramedics were called to reports of a shooting on Captain Cook Drive at Willmot just before 10.30pm Friday.

On arrival, officers found a 19-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his head.


He was rushed to Westmead Hospital for treatment where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

A teenager, also aged 19, was arrested and taken to Mount Druitt Police Station for questioning.

He has since been charged with one count of reckless wounding and subsequently refused bail to appear in Parramatta Local Court today.
