Teens accused of beating homeowner with bat in brutal, unprovoked attack

TWO teenage boys have been arrested and charged over a savage, unprovoked attack on Queensland’s Central Coast.

Police said a group of teenage boys and girls accosted a man in the front yard of his Auckland Street home at Gladestone on Friday afternoon.

The teens were reportedly walking along the street when they became involved in an argument with the man around 5.30pm.

Two boys aged 15 and 17 allegedly entered the yard and kicked the man to the ground before beating him with a bat and running away.

Officers caught up with the teens a short time later and arrested the two boys and a teenage girl outside a house in Off Lane .

The two boys have since been charged with one count each of assault occasioning bodily harm and public nuisance.

Investigations into the brutal attack are continuing.
