Two boys, aged 16 and 17, have been charged with murder after a man was stabbed to death in a frightening home invasion.
The horrific scenes unfolded just after 12.30am on Sunday, at a house on Langton Street at Riverstone in Sydney’s west.
It’s understood a group of at least five people entered the home and stabbed the 39-year-old man before fleeing.

“It is early in the investigation, but that is one of the lines that we are pursuing, that it was a targeted attack or that the offenders were known to the deceased or the deceased knew the offenders,” Superintendent Jenny Scholz told reporters.
Officers desperately tried to save the man by performing CPR, but sadly he could not be revived.
Two women, aged 34 and 42, are also believed to have been inside the home at the time, with the younger woman suffering minor injuries.
A major search involving PolAir, the Dog Unit and the Public Order and Riot Squad was launched for the man’s attackers, with police locating two teenage boys on Regent Street just after 1.10am today.
Both have since been charged with murder and refused bail to face a children’s court tomorrow.
Investigations into the fatal stabbing are continuing and police say they are still working to locate others allegedly involved.
