Teens aged between 12 and 15 try to flee stolen car crash, Gold Coast

Four teenagers are being questioned by police, after crashing a stolen car on the Gold Coast this morning.

Emergency services were called to Hammond Drive near Smith Street in Gaven this morning around 4.20 am, following reports of the crash.

Four teens were seen trying to flee the stolen Toyota Camry, but police were able to track them down after a quick search of the area.

Two 13-year-old boys, a 12-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl were taken into custody and are now being questioned by police.

Charges are yet to be laid.

Police report that the vehicle had been stolen from a Tugun address between 12.01am and 3am on October 19.
