Teens charged after delivery rider stabbed in Logan

Two teenage boys have been charged after a delivery rider was allegedly attacked during an attempted robbery in Logan overnight.

Police say the 21-year-old was delivering food on his bicycle along Silvertop Street in Hillcrest just after 8.00pm, when a glass bottle was thrown at him.

“The man stopped and approached two boys before they allegedly assaulted him,” Qld police said.

The young man suffered a knife wound to his abdomen and was rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition.

Officers arrived at the scene a short time later and arrested two boys.

The pair, both aged 17, have been charged with one count each of wounding and attempted robbery.
