Teens charged after stolen car tracked by police chopper in Marsden

Three teenagers have been arrested and charged after an alleged stolen car was stopped in Marsden overnight.

Police say just after midnight, officers spotted a a stolen Hyundai IX35 in Crestmead, with the vehicle then tracked by Polair.

A tyre deflation device was successfully deployed on Browns Plains Road, with four people seen running from the car.


A short time later, officers tracked down three teens, with inquiries continuing to locate the fourth person.

Police say the vehicle was stolen from a house in Innis Street at Geebung on March 15.

A 16-year-old girl from Stafford has since been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and possession of a dangerous drug (methylamphetamine).

A 14-year-old Ellen Grove boy and a 15-year-old Coopers Plains boy have both been charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
