Teens charged over vicious bus driver assault

A TEENAGER has been arrested following a vicious assault on a Queensland bus driver.

Officers say two boys boarded a bus in Shailer Park around 5pm on Monday when an argument broke out about the fare.

One of the boys is then accused of hurling a bottle at the driver before punching him in the head several times.

Things came to an end after other passengers tepped in to help the driver.

The teens ran off on foot.

The 15-year-old will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.

The other, aged 16, is also expected to be facing charges.
