Teens charged over wild stolen car chase across the Gold Coast

Five juveniles have been charged with a string of offences after allegedly breaking into a home before leading police on a chase across the Gold Coast.

Officers were called to Bonogin Road in Bonogin around 1.30pm on Tuesday, following reports of a break and enter at a home along the street.

While responding to the scene, police located a stolen blue BMW and a stolen black Jeep travelling together.

Officers deployed tyre spikes, striking one of the vehicles which eventually came to a stop in Coomera.

“Police tracked the Jeep from Mudgeeraba onto the Pacific Motorway before it exited around Coomera where the four juveniles were arrested,” Queensland Police said.

The other car, a BMW stolen from Pacific Pines, was tracked by police travelling towards Brisbane but remains at large.

Four boys aged 13, 14, 16 and 17, and one girl, 14, have been charged with a number of property offences, including burglary, unlawful use of a motorvehicle and receiving tainted property.
