Teens crash stolen car into Ashmore home

TWO boys have been charged after allegedly crashing a stolen car into a property in Ashmore on Sunday.

Police were called to the Wain Avenue residence around 2pm on Sunday after getting reports the pair had crashed the vehicle into the building and were on the run.

A police dog was able to track the duo down in a nearby street, with one of the pair allegedly kicking the dog in the head.


A 14-year-old Southport boy was charged with obstruct police and three counts of trespassing.

A 16-year-old Logan Central boy was charged with three counts of trespassing and one count each of burglary, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, serious assault police and obstruct police.

Both boys will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
