Teens questioned by police after men knifed in Surfers Paradise

THREE teenage boys are being questioned by police after two men were allegedly knifed in Surfers Paradise.

It’s alleged five males were approached by a group of men on The Esplanade around 2am on Saturday.

Police said an “altercation” broke out, during which two men allegedly sustained minor knife wounds.

The men, aged 25 and 30, were taken to Robina and Gold Coast University Hospitals for treatment.

Gold Coast detectives are investigating the incident, which they are treating as an “unlawful wounding”.

Three teenage boys, aged 15 and 17, were this morning “assisting police with their enquiries”.

No charges have yet been laid. Anyone with information is urged to come forward and call Crime Stoppers.
