TWO teenagers are in police custody after losing control of a stolen ute and ploughing into several cars on a highway in Adelaide’s south, killing an innocent driver and seriously injuring two others.
The horrific crash occurred where the Southern Expressway meets the Main South Road at Bedford Park just after 9pm on Thursday.
Police said the two teenagers were travelling north along the Expressway in a stolen Holden ute when the driver lost control and smashed into three cars on Main South Road.

Sadly, one of the drivers was pronounced dead at the scene. The two others were rushed to the Flinders Medical Centre in a serious condition.
The teenage driver and passenger from the stolen Holden allegedly abandoned the crash victims, leaving them to die, and fled the scene on foot.
Fortunately, however, police swooped on the area and arrested the duo a short distance away.
They were both taken to the local police station where they were this morning being questioned by detectives.
Details on the gender and ages of both the victims and suspects were not immediately available.
No charges had been laid at the time of writing.
