Telstra hit by cyber attack causing widespread internet outage
Telstra has been hit by a cyber attack which has impacted some internet services around the country.
The telco was alerted to an issue on Sunday morning with customers unable to access the internet.
Telstra has since confirmed it is currently experiencing a Denial of Service attack.
The company says it is doing everything it can to get people back online and is confident it has blocked all malicious traffic.
It is also assuring customers that their personal information is not at risk.
