All Los Angeles Public Schools have been ordered to remain closed today after an email was sent threatening rifle attacks on students.
The frightening threat was reportedly sent by “an extremist Muslim who has teamed up with local jihadists,” the Los Angeles Times reports.
According to Los Angeles Police Department chief Charlie Beck, the email was quite specific.

“The email makes relatively specific and wide-ranging threats to Los Angeles schools, including an attack with assault rifles and machine pistols,” Mr Sherman said.
Police and FBI agents have been called in to search the schools in the district, but in the meantime as a precaution all students have been told to stay at home.
