Girl flown to hospital after bicycle crash
A LITTLE girl has been flown to hospital with suspected head injuries after a horror bike crash on the Sunshine Coast.
It’s understood the girl was riding on the slopes of a property south of Dayboro when she lost control and crashed into a tree.
The toddler was airlifted stable to Royal Children’s Hospital by the Sunshine Coast RACQ CareFlight Rescue.
“The Queensland Ambulance Service treated and transferred the little girl to a helipad at the nearby Samsonvale Rural Fire Brigade Station so that we could airlift her,” RACQ CareFlight Aircrewman Rick Harvey said.
It’s not known if the child was wearing a helmet when the crash occurred.
