The Hotplate here to stay

Channel Seven has lost its bid to turn off the first season of the Nine Network’s new cooking show, The Hotplate.

But Federal Court Justice John Nicholas says he was satisfied Seven has a “reasonable case” that its rival has infringed its copyright.

Seven launched legal action against Nine, alleging it had poached key ingredients from its highly-popular reality show My Kitchen Rules, which debuted in 2010.
