The most popular baby names of 2020 have been revealed
THE most popular names given to Queensland babies last year have been revealed, with an old-favourite making a comeback.
Charlotte has once again claimed the top spot for girls, after being pipped by Olivia last year.
It appears Queensland parents are also huge fans of the name Oliver, with it remaining the most popular boys name for the eighth year in a row.
525 newborn boys were named Oliver in 2020, compared to 383 for second placed William.
It was a closer race for girls’ names, with Charlotte only claiming the top spot by 30, bumping Olivia back to second.
So if you’re still stuck with a name for your impending bundle of joy, the following list could provide you with some much-needed inspiration… Although you may want to look elsewhere if you’re after something a little more unique!
