‘There was a lot of blood’: Six injured, four stabbed in brutal birthday brawl

SIX people have been taken to hospital – four of them with stab wounds – after a brutal brawl broke out at a birthday party in Sydney’s west.

It all unfolded at a house in Wentworthville during the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police said they were called to reports of a brawl at the Stapleton Street home around 3am, but when officers arrived, the house was empty.

“When police arrived, the home was empty but a large amount of blood was found and a crime scene was established,” NSW Police said in a statement.

Six men are believed to have been involved in the fight and took themselves to Westmead Hospital with various injuries.

Police said four of them were suffering from stab wounds, while the other two had sustained abrasions.

Police have been told all six live at the home and were celebrating a birthday when the fight broke out.

Thankfully, none of their injuries are said to be life-threatening.

No charges have been laid.
