A man has been arrested after he stole a car with a baby inside from outside a childcare centre at Telopea.
About 4.50pm yesterday (12 August 2015), police from Rosehill Local Area Command were advised that a car had been stolen from Addison Street, Telopea.
A woman parked her vehicle outside the child care centre and left her sleeping five month old boy in a baby seat in the rear of the vehicle.

Police allege that while the woman was away from the vehicle, a 33-year-old man entered the car and drove it away.
Numerous police were alerted to the incident and officers commenced a search for the child and stolen Toyota Camry.
Patrolling police observed the vehicle travelling south on Pennant Hills Road and pulled the vehicle over near the intersection of James Ruse Drive, Parramatta.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested without incident however the child was not located.
Acting on information provided officers located the child who had been left on the side of road in Denim Place at Dundas.
The child was unharmed and was immediately reunited with its mother.
The 33-year-old man Dundas Valley man was taken to Rosehill Police Station where he has been charged with taking motor vehicle with occupant on board and abandoning or exposing a child under seven years to danger of serious injury.
He has been refused bail and will appear in Parramatta Local Court today (Thursday 13 August 2015).
