Thief tries to hold-up a Surfers servo

A SUFERS Paradise convenience store has become the latest victim of an attempted armed robbery.

Police claim a man wearing a dark hooded jumper entered the store at the corner of View Avenue and Surfers Paradise Boulevard around 4am on Tuesday morning.

He’s accused of approached the staff member who was stocking a drinks fridge at the rear end of the store, pulling out a knife and making demands for cash.


The worker immediately from the store leaving the offender inside, who also decided to run off.

It’s still unclear whether anything was taken from the store.

Police are investigating.
