Thieves on the run after separate Gold Coast break-ins

Investigations are underway this morning, after two separate breaks ins on the Gold Coast.

Police were first called to a home in Runaway Bay following reports that a black 2011 Porsche was taken from a home along Nirvana Court.

That happened around 3.30 am before it was then found dumped in Logan half an hour later along with a 2012 A-Class Mercedes Benz that is also believed to be stolen.

A short time later, police were then called to a grocery store in Carrara following reports that two men had broken in and were rummaging around the cigarette cabinets.

They were unable to get in and apparently fled the Manchester Road business empty-handed.

Police are now investigating both incidents, with no arrests made just yet.

Anyone with information about either break-in is being urged to contact police.
