Thieves on the run after two separate robberies on the Coast

Police are on the hunt for two armed men following separate robberies on the Gold Coast on Sunday night.

At around 9.30pm, a man on Hoy Street, Carrara was approached by two other men.

One of the men pulled out a knife and the other punched him in the neck before the pair got away with his wallet and phone.


The victim suffered swelling to his neck.

Just under an hour later, at 10.20pm, a man on Savoy Drive in Broadbeach Waters was again approached two men.

One man, who was armed with a knife demanded the man’s wallet, car keys and mobile phone.

The pair rummaged through the man’s car before leaving the scene on foot.

Police are investigating the two incidents.
