Third person arrested over murder of GC father

A third person has been arrested over the murder of missing Gold Coast father Greg Dufty.

Mr Dufty has not been seen since Monday July 6, when he left his ex-partners Ashmore home.

The 37-year-old’s rented Mazda ute was later found abandoned in the car park of nearby Ashmore Steak and Seafood Restaurant.

Police have long suspected Mr Dufty met with foul play.

Former Bandido bikie Lionel Patea, 24, who is accused of beating his girlfriend to death on the Gold Coast, has also been charged with the murder of Mr Dufty along with New Zealand man Aaron Crawford, 27.

Both men have had their cases adjourned until January 28.

More to come.
