Thousands of men, women and children have gathered in Brisbane’s King George Square to protest against wife killer Gerard Baden-Clay’s downgrade from murder to manslaughter.
Protestors wearing yellow, which was Ms Baden-Clay’s favourite colour, are calling on Queensland’s attorney general to appeal the shock decision.
Today host Lisa Wilkinson, senator Glenn Lazarus, and Bruce and Denise Morcombe are leading the rally alongside Allison’s friends and family.

The outrage comes after an appeal judge downgraded Baden-Clays original murder charge.
In the judgement, the Queensland Court of Appeal said while Baden-Clay lied about the cause of scratches on his face and tried to hide his wife’s body, he did not act with murderous intent when he killed the mother of his three children at their Brisbane home in April 2012.
