Thousands hit the streets of Melbourne for Cup parade

THOUSANDS of people have lined the streets in Melbourne’s CBD for the annual Melbourne Cup Parade.

The parade, which takes place from Swanston Street to Federation Square, featured the jockeys and trainers set to contest the big race tomorrow.

Past champions such as Rogan Josh, Might And Power, and Brew also took part.

A strong field of contenders will hit the track for the $6.2 million Melbourne Cup tomorrow at 2pm Gold Coast time.
