Thousands of homes are without power in Pimpama this morning.
Energex reports that over 2,500 homes in the suburb are out, with over 100 streets affected.
The outage was reported around 7.30am, with the latest update released at 8.15am.
Technicians are still investigating what went wrong.
The next update will be at 10.00am.
