Three children found in 4WD allegedly stolen from the Gold Coast

A 15-year-old girl has been found in the drivers seat of a 4WD, which was allegedly stolen from the Gold Coast yesterday.

Two other children, a 13-year-old girl and 12-year-old girl, were also found inside the car, after it was spotted parked outside a service station in Taree South about 4.00pm.

Police allege the eldest girl had driven about 500km to Taree in the 4WD with her two friends.

The three children are now in the care of the NSW Department of Family and Community Services.

The driver has been dealt with under the Young Offender’s Act.

Investigations remain ongoing.
